Infidelity Support Group
Any relationship in which one partner engages willfully in sexual relations with another outside of the partnership is considered to have experienced infidelity. This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...
There are sooo many people here on DailyStrength (and of course in the world in general) who have grown stronger and braver and done things they never thought possible - all because infidelity caused the bottom to drop out of their world. I don't think I will ever be able to say that my husband's affair was a blessing, but I will say it was the catalyst for the best changes in our lives to date. Even if we had not stayed together, we are so much better for the changes we have made in ourselves and in the way we treat each other and the other people around us.
That doesn't mean it doesn't hurt like hell or that you don't have a right to your pain and loss and fear and anger. Healing hurts. Change hurts. Loss hurts. Know that you will come out the other side, though and that you are not alone.
I too was married for 22 years and have endured a very similar 'Mac truck' situation when I discovered iPhone sexting messages between my husband an a coworker. My husband refused to stop seeing her and then flipped claiming he wanted to stayed married to me. I was relieved at first then the fear and panic set in. I could not function I lost tons of weight. I then discovered he had again gone back to cheating with the same person. It's been 7 months since d day. He moved it he end of January. I can honestly say even though you feel like your world is upside down you Will get through this and you will be ok. I promise. If you want to chat anytime just get in touch. I can offer support.
