You posting tells me YOU ARE TRYING to cope. So, let your H know as well.
Gypsy, that post was completely dead on. I agree that talking it through with your H is the MOST important thing.
I'm 3 weeks from DDay and some days are better than others. The marriage counseling is helping and H is helping too, as strange as that sounds.
But I am hanging in there.
As far as going with him, the calling hours were from 3-5, there were no evening hours. And I don't ever want to see the OW again. Long before their affair, we did some social events with her and her husband. I knew years ago that she liked my husband, and also knew she would divorce her own husband once their girls were in high school. Her husband was an idiot.
I even warned my husband about 10 years ago about her. That made the whole thing worse in some ways...the really stupid thing is she is the type of woman I could be friends with. When my husband told her we were going to go to counseling and he wouldn't be talking/seeing her anymore, she totally backed off and respected his wishes. Part of me wanted her to persue him so I could confront her. Again, another stupid thought.
