Infidelity Support Group
Any relationship in which one partner engages willfully in sexual relations with another outside of the partnership is considered to have experienced infidelity. This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...
You are on a roller coaster of emotional ups and downs. In some cases, you will reach the feelings you have (or don't have) right now, and then you will start on the roller coaster again.
You may get value in reading about the five stages of grief and loss. Because you are going through a loss of many things.
With a different analogy, you are on a journey that you didn't expect. And it is not straitforward. You are going to have missteps. You are going to take steps backwards.
You weren't given a choice in what happened. But you DO have choices now, and you have power to determine what your future will be.
I read the book Transcending Post Infidelity Stress Disorder by Dennis Ortman, and found it incredibly helpful. It made me realize that I was not going crazy, and my feelings were justified and normal for the trauma after adultery. I still reference parts of it as I work through the stages. So glad to hear you are feeling strong! this is a real rollercoaster!!
It is so hard to get through, but you will. Give it time, and lots of it.
You have my support. Hugs
...hey, every fire burns itself out. No fire can burn forever. Every fire can get exhausted.
Could be, you are just good and tired.

It's pretty soon after your dday and unfortunately processing what you've been through is not exactly linear. You'll take two steps forward somedays only to be yanked back another 3 a couple days later.
The good news is that it does get better with time. Your happy days will outnumber your sad days but don't be surprised if it doesn't happen over night. Most importantly don't put yourself on a time schedule of when you should be feeling better.
It kind of runs the course it's going to run or burn out on its own like L said.
Hang in there and check in with us when you need to vent. Sending support!
