However I cannot tell you why are you still here after 2 years. And by "here" do you mean DS or your marriage?

I am still married after the dirtbag had a three year affair. He admitted to 3 years, but he's a liar, so who knows how long he was doing her. But, yes, still married.

Well, why ARE you still here?
Do you love him?
Did your trust in him grow back a bit?
Has he done and does all the right things to get you back?
Do you feel loved by him?
Do you feel you have made progress in recovering and rebuilding?

I am still with my wife just over 2 years since Dday. She has two long term affairs (one for about a year while we were engaged but supposedly stopped once we married) and then one that lasted four years that started 2 years after we were married. She also had several ons that were connected to the long term affair, (long story you might not believe even if I told you). As for "why" I'm sorry I cant really answer that as I wonder that myself everyday. Yes I suppose I have some answers, we have two kids that are my world and I dont want to change their world, my wife at least appears to be doing everything possible for a CS to do to try to rebuild, even if sometimes its hard to believe and take it for what it is, and also the convenience and/or material things in life and the life that we had built despite the affairs, I would be lying if I said that didn't play in, and I hate to admit it. Take the affairs out of the picture and we had built a really nice life together and were building a great family, good jobs, great house, etc etc. Me myself I could start over financially easily but I dont want to change that for my kids and I am afraid what would happen with my wife. Also though sometimes it is hard to admit or to see I cant help but still Love my wife to some degree, cant say I am "in love" with her like I was but she was my high school sweetheart and there are years worth of love that dont just disappear. What is nice is to be on here and see that I am not the only crazy or stupid one.

I give you all loads of credit for putting up with it

When I was married I stayed with my husband through all of his short term affairs I felt we owed it to our kids to make it work and I did and still do love him but it was my long term affair that ended in divorce and not because he wanted it. When he cheated all the time, in 17 years of marriage I know of 10 girls, he hurt me for people that "meant nothing to him" he could just " get rid of" and I was always supposed to just get over it , but when I cheated I genuinely cared for the person I cheated with. After I sat him down and told him what I'd done and that it was over between OM and I, I felt we could really work on us but there was to much resentment on both parts and we were hurting each other to much so I chose to end the marriage for our mental health. We are much better co parents now and I wouldn't call us friends but we are in a healthier state of being I think.

Well countrymounty that story could be mine except the financially stable if I leave. And jay I think I still love him. A different love since all this happen. He seems to be doing all the right things but I thought he was before. This man never took time away from me or the kids the whole affair. It happen during his lunch breaks or days off when I was at work. So I was completely blind sided. Rebuilding is moving forward most days then bam I seem to be back where I was 2 yrs ago. He seems to be trying to change but then so am I. And sometimes I wonder if I am here because I liked my life. I like the "family" I like the time we spend as a family I have 3 in college and 1 still at home. We do the sporting events and vacations with then and it may sound selfish but I don't want to give up my lifestyle for his mistake and I don't think the kids should either. Today is a better day and the bad are coming less so I guess that I'd progress
