You and I may consider them irresponsible in their lifestyle choices.
However, your GF chose him to date for a long period of time.
She knew how he was early in the process and chose to stay with him.
The question you may want to ask is.....what does this say about her?
Shes is stubborn and she admits that - also, her father told her - if you get married you only do it once - there is no "retake"- he told her all of this when she was engaged. She really really looked up to her father.
She wanted out of the marriage but she was a daddies girl and he would have been majorily disappointed and he would remind her what he told her. (Her father passed away 3 years ago) - he told her before she got married that you get married once and you work things out. She loved her father a lot and really looked up to him and always would listen to him.
Once the dude cheated on her - her father understood. But yes she is stubborn and can be hard headed but that can be good and bad.
if she sees something she aims for it - and she tries her hardest - that has gotten her professionally in a very good place. She now looks back and knows she could never had changed her ex and she should have never had married him because they werent a good match - hindsight is always 20/20 - she thought she could change him.
It is what it is but she doesnt hold any regrets.
Also, you have to turn into a real "loser" to get rid of her. That is good to know. You can have minor flaws, or make minor ooops and you know she won't bail on the first sign of trouble.
She sounds like a keeper to me!
