Iv never felt like this before

Iv never posted on any website before and don't even have Facebook but I didn't know where else to turn. I'm so ashamed of what I found out it's to hard to talk to friends or family about it. Iv never felt like this before. Iv been with my wife since 16 and I'm now 28. We have 2 kids together (girl 10, boy 2) and I found out she had met a guy 8 months ago. She no longer talks to him and says it was not anything serious but from what I found on her phone it seemed like I was. I don't know what I expect from this post but just writting it out for someone to read feels a bit better. I'm in shock and to be honest feel like a zombie of sort and I'm wondering if it's normal? I haven't cried, haven't eaten and have probably slept 3 hours in 3 days. I'm complete lost.

All your feelings are valid. I know what you mean by feeling like a zombie. It's been two months for me and I'm still not sleeping or eating much. You have every right to feel lost. But be strong for your kids. You'll get through this

I know the feeling. You feel like it really must be some sort of terrible dream and you're just waiting to wake up from it, but then it hits you on the head like a sledgehammer that no, this is NOT a dream.

I'm sorry to read your story. You're in emotional I.C.U. and are most definitely in shock, and yes, it's perfectly normal to experience this after discovery day. And it doesn't go away right away, and can last for weeks. As difficult as it is to eat, and sleep, it's important to keep yourself nourished. Drink lots of water and reach for things that are easy to eat. Lack of sleep and nutrition makes you think and believe things that are not real, so do whatever you can to maintain them. Most betrayed spouses lose anywhere from 10 to 25 pounds within 1-2 months after d day.

What you have to know is that what she did has nothing to do with you. Not your manhood, not your personality, not anything. This is all on her, and if she attempts to lay any of the blame on you, even partially, she's gas lighting.

It will be very important that she becomes completely transparent and allows you to look at any and all of her digital devices, online accounts, etc., and remove all passwords if they exist. You are entitled to ask, see, review, undelete, procure, and have answers for anything you deem necessary, to help you recover from this, so you can reconcile your marriage. Come here and write and use this board as a place of comfort, knowing you are surrounded by other betrayed spouses who care and understand.
