But the bottom line is whatever the temptations are for him to cheat, he made the decision, either directly or by default, to cheat as a way to deal with his issues. And sorry, but that is a choice that will rarely, if ever, heal the problems in a marriage. It is giving up on the marriage if anything.
You could not have made him cheat by not being a better wife, and chances are you could not have prevented it if you were. Because it is likely the issues that allowed him to chose to cheat are deficiencies within himself, and not you. He responded to the problems he was facing inappropriately, and made it far worse, not healed it.
You may have increased the temptation, possibly, but you didn't force him to chose the wrong answer to that temptation. He simply needs to own that reality, and start doing the things that will ensure he doesn't cross those boundaries again in the future. As he heals, you will be free to heal as well.
