Hi I'm new here never done this before. I am a straying spouse I've been married for 5 years to my wonderful wife, I have an addiction to porn and sexting which has almost ruined our marriage. My wife first discovered the affairs 2 years ago has tried to help me but I just get frustrated and angry. I'm finally ready to get help and save my family.
Usually we do this because something is lacking within us or our marriage. And when something is lacking, it's usually stemmed from suppressed pain. The subconscious is a tricky thing.
I'm doing therapy for what I'm going through and I pray. It's still a long road ahead of me but I've realized why I was doing the porn thing and now I've lost desire for it and I'm working on myself and dealing with my situation. Porn was just another way of coping. A poor way at that.
If there is something missing in your marriage, talk to your wife and maybe you two can do counseling together. We're constantly growing and evolving....no shame in doing this with her.
