Infidelity Support Group
Any relationship in which one partner engages willfully in sexual relations with another outside of the partnership is considered to have experienced infidelity. This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...
Ideally your CS should change jobs. But I am sure there is an argument why he can’t.
You say she seems happy. Could it be possible that she is putting up a show. She definitely got some karma her actions cost her her husband and her job, and people who know will not think vety highly of her.
Mayne she's not that happy but maybe she just want to act to you like she's super happy cause she "blames" you.
Your much better than her and she knows it. You have morals empathy and are trustworthy all thinks she ckearly lacks.
If she hasn't done any therapy she will clearly cheat again in the future which will cost her her current relationship.
Telling others wgat she did. I would be careful it could somehow backfire. However good friends of yours well why not mention it. If they are good friends they will break any contacts with her to help you heal.
I also think if you block her on Facebook that you will not see if she comments on a mutual friends post. But I'm not sure. If not maybe unfriend this mutual friend.
Hugs ur much better and stronger person than her don't ever doubt that
I like our idea of blocking her so I can't see her posts! Why didn't I think of that? And she wont be able to see mine either right?
And yes, it would backfire me outing her. If she is happy, then, well, I guess every human has that right. But yeah, I still wish she would suffer in some visible way. And you are right, it is likely that history will repeat itself...
Thanks for your support here! I don't know why I didn't reach out in this kind of setting earlier!!
xx
First of all, focus on yourself. Take care of yourself. If you feel good, you will look good, and you will project that confidence. Hold your head high. You have nothing to be ashamed of.
If you want to move, then move. But do it for the right reasons. I wouldn't want you to feel you ended up someplace because of her. I would love to move, too, but the pieces just haven't fallen into place yet. This is an option you might want to explore though.
I don't know if you need to keep tabs on her or not. This depends on if you trust your husband or not. You decide.
As for FB, block the bitch. You do not want her stalking you.
As for your friends and FB, you could tell them to support you in your quest for privacy.
As for this guy whose children attend the same school as your children - ignore him for now. Or introduce yourself to him, tell him you heard he is engaged to the woman and that makes you very happy. Then walk away. He is not your enemy. No, he is your friend. If he keeps her happy, she won't go after your H again.
Remember, their affair is not your secret. You do not have to keep their secret. However, if you do start telling more people, you have to think about what the repercussions might be for you. I am ready with a couple of lines should the OW's name come up. But I have not told anyone other than my most trusted friends.
As for her business, just have a standard line you keep repeating. Something like: "Oh, I've found the service to be bad there." Or, "The people there are so difficult to work with."
We all want the OW to suffer. I would like Karma to wake up and bite that bitch in the ass. Sometimes we do get lucky but honestly, the best revenge is for us to have a happy life. You WILL feel better if you focus on that. I did, however, create a Pinterest board with karma quotes, infidelity quotes, etc. I use that as my outlet.
I was stalked by the OW's friends for a while. It was very unnerving to say the least. I just make sure I leave the house looking good. I also asked my H for a big piece of jewelry which I wear all the time. I carry a designer bag. Before I get jumped on for being superficial, let me just say, it came back to me that the OW said I was "just in it (my marriage) for the money". So I decided I
would rub her nose in it. If I were in it for the money, I would have taken divorced him and taken him to the cleaners!
It's all about our "image". My image projects the truth - I am happy, my H supports me, is remorseful, and we are successful. So you need to create your image. It will ground you when you feel threatened or triggered.
Think less about her, more about you, your husband, and your kids.
Good luck don't let the bitch get you down ur a much better person than her
I still wonder if her new partner even knows what she did. I have fantasies about just saying in the car park at school pick up, "Oh I see you are engaged to OW...Well, I'm C and I'm the wife of the man she had an affair with when she was in her last marriage. Nice to meet you. See you around I guess...."
AND there it is...."think less about her......". Thanks hun, I needed that! xx
Oh and hubby and I went to look at some land 50kms away from where we are with the look to build a new house and move away...still exploring options, and no decisions have been made obviously, but it did feel good to consider starting fresh!
I do hope the fiancée knows what he is getting himself into. Given that she isn't the honest type, I would suggest he probably doesn't know. Otherwise he is about to lose half of everything he has worked for to this pro.
Don't take her bait. It does not help you.
You CAN introduce yourself to this guy. But only introduce yourself. Do NOT say you are married to her affair partner. You will look ridiculous. Let him wonder why you introduced yourself. Let him do the digging. Always be nice. Smile. Remember - he is your friend!! If the OW is happy with him, she is less likely to go after your H again.
