I’ve been a shitty husband to my beautiful wife by taking her for granted  yelling at her taking out all my frustrations verbally out in her I’ve never hit her but one day I choked her and I realized it’s not me I didn’t like the man that I was becoming I was entertaining other women talking texting and I shouldn’t have I said allot of hurtful things to my wife ppl say allot of things when there upset I’ve been mean to my step children so my wife wanted me to move out the house and so I did in hopes of us seeking marriage counseling and anger management for myself as well but we never got a chance to I feel the disconnect between my wife who was once my best friend I try to work things out with her she says I hurt her too bad but she always wants me in her life I just want my wife back I understand things don’t happen over night but I’m ready to do any and everything to get my wife back I need help and advise on what to do she also told me she filed for a divorce and she’s seeing someone else

I really think you need to get yourself into anger management & individual therapy. Once you have gone, let her know you are going.
Just because you want her back doesn’t mean it’s the most healthy. You need to be healthy before you two can work on your issues.

You have a lot of issues to work because it is terrible to abuse your spouse both verbally and physically.

While you may want her back for your own sake, you should actually think about what is best for your wife and step kids?

Would it be better that your STB ex wife is with a guy who loves her and treats her right? Would another person be a better example to her children in terms of how to behave if a boy and how they want to be treated by their spouse if they are a girl?

Do the long hard work to change and grow as a human being and let the chips fall where they may.

Do it because it is what you want for yourself and not because you want to win back your wife.

Hey there. I’m new in this group. The other group I’m in is the porn/sex addict group as I have come to realize in the past 2 months I am a sex addict. I understand the pain you are in. I have not physically abused my wife at all but have emotionally abused her for years by being a lier and unfaithful. I struggle to understand how i could possibly hurt the one I truly love with all my heart and soul. She is beautiful inside and out and yet I had continually hurt her. Looking from the outside in I would also say I don’t deserve her. She is my best friend the mother of our 3 beautiful children and just an amazing woman. I can’t imagine my life without her. I truly want to be the man she believed I was when we married. I’m trying so hard to be that man. But only seem to fail at my attempts. I have now urge to be unfaithful in ANY way. I’ve never had much self confidence and so trying to be a real man and not a pushover, spineless yes man is very difficult. All I want to do is make her happy. I’m not religious but I do have faith so prayer is one thing that gives me hope. I just pray it’s not to little to late.
