I'm so sorry for what your going through.
This man has messed you up badly he treated you horribly. You did not deserve this nothing of it at all.
Your not old your 53 still so many years left to build on a new happy life away from this poisonous man.
You didn't waste your life cause it brought you 2 awesome sons. He wasted his life he wasted your chance of being with a trustworthy man. But he did not waste your life, don't let him he's not worth it to think that.
I have tears in my eyes reading you tried to end your life I'm so glad it didn't work. He's not worth it.
Cheating completely crushes all of our self esteem that's why you feel bad about yourself but thats because of soneone elses narcissistic actions. It's not because your a bad person.
Your a good person you have morals empathy you ate an awesome mom and you will be an awesome grandma when it comes to that down the road.
Please promise me you seek help. Counseling will help build you back up.
You have so much to live for. You did a fantastic job raising your sons. You gave them all you had even though you were treated like shit by your partner.
Your sons love you. Your sons need you even if they are grown up. And when your sons find a loving partner and have kids those will need their loving grandma.
Please don't let him take ur future. Talk to a counselor and start building urself back up cause ur worth it
You didn't waste your time if you were a good mother to two children who are now all grown up. This is your legacy.
Your actions define your life and not those of anyone else's, including your husband. He will look back at his life in shame and disgust, but this is not your cross to bear.
Just remember that your life is not defined by your marriage, it is defined by your decisions. It takes two to have a healthy marriage but only one to destroy it.
You are in difficult position where you can either stay and continue to be abused or leave and allow your husband's actions to further harm your children.
The thing is that your husband has little moral compass if any and will be a negative influence on your children. The poison that is him can not be contained and will influence those around him.
Talk this through with your counselor to identify how it is best to tell your children.
Bless You Sister!
