Thank God, you get this and don't seem inclined to go on and on with someone who doormats you, as if that was a rational choice, because it just isn't.
I would love to say that there are many people of character out there awaiting your interest after you recover from this lying loser. In my age group, haven't found one yet, but I am not sure putting up with the dregs of humanity is a solution.
I am sorry for your pain. It is so harsh to discover they are liars and cheats, callous selfish users. Sigh.
