Infidelity Support Group
Any relationship in which one partner engages willfully in sexual relations with another outside of the partnership is considered to have experienced infidelity. This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...
Carry on with your journey , but do keep your eyes open. Trust is earned and once broken needs to be re gained. So if you are not able to trust your husband fully yet, that is completely acceptable. He needs to take steps to regain your trust and rebuild the marriage.
There is no magic ball to predict the future or guarantee that your husband won't cheat again, but if you have made the decision to stay in the marriage, you have to work towards trusting him again. It will happen in time. And now that you are wiser to the signs of infidelity, you can walk away if you get a sniff of anything wrong. All the very best.
Trust your instincts. I think you should go back to the store and talk with her. I would not tell him.
If he's cheating again or doing anything suspect, it's time to call it quits. Enough is enough.
If you get nothing out of her, I'd follow her advice and keep your eyes open. Where there's smoke, there's fire.
It is not up to you to work on trust issues. He broke the marriage, he has to fix it. He has to earn your trust. In the meantime, I'd be interviewing lawyers.
You may have to make a few attempts to find her, but something tells me it will be worth it. If she doesn't know specifically, then she's probably heard through a friend or knows someone who knows him and what he's up to. People don't say things like, "he's not right" for no reason. Act upon this but don't tell him, this isn't for his ears, this is for yours for now and don't bring it up to him again.
Wishing you well.
I would also go back to that store. I WISH that someone would have given me a heads up about my husband. For her to do that is a gift. Take it. And don't tell your husband anything about it. That would be like tipping off the drug dealer that a bust is about to go down.
Yes it should be over if he does it again.
I used to hate it when it seemed everyone knew except me.
Here is something else that I didn't say that I didn't think was important at the time. When I first met her I noticed she had a Carribean accent so I asked her where she was from. She said she was from Alabama and I told her she sounded like she was from an Island, she said everyone says that. So basically she had a fake accent. Also when I was leaving her register she gave me this really weird/intense look. When me and my husband walked out he said she was staring at me and he was looking at her like what's up and she smiled at him. So I'm leaving that one alone. She didn't have anything. I believe in the gift of prophesy but I don't think she has it. Too vague.
"God spoke to her," and "He told me something," –oh please, don't be so naive, she most certainly knows your husband, or knows of him, and that's even worse, because his reputation precedes him.
"God spoke to her and told her to tell you to keep your eyes open and pay attention," – on what planet? God doesn't speak to people, and certainly not to grocery store cashiers about customers going through their checkout.
I don't think she faked the accent, she was responding to your rudeness of asking if she was from the islands. It's rude to ask someone where they're from. Your intentions may have been earnest but it's considered inconsiderate to ask someone where they're from just because they have an accent, a different look or skin tone.
