Infidelity Support Group
Any relationship in which one partner engages willfully in sexual relations with another outside of the partnership is considered to have experienced infidelity. This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...
We sat them down and told them together. Be sure to be as specific as possible as to exactly how this will affect them (new room, how often to see daddy etc)
It did piss me off that I had to go along with the "couldn't get along" bullshit...ummm more like "mommy isn't okay with daddy having a girlfriend!"
I think we can never know what will happen (mine didn't even cry right away). It wasn't until I tucked them in that night that there were tears, they asked if we would ever all live together again (I want to cry just remembering that!)and I was honest and said "I don't think so". I cried a lot while telling them, but tried not to lose control - didn't want them to be scared.
Is there any way he can hold off on the move to let it sink in? We told them a couple of weeks before move day and spent a lot of time separately with the kids, really emphasizing "daddy time" and "mommy time" so they would have a feel for it.
I did think it important not to put the blame on him (even though he cheated)...I didn't want to damage their relationship with him...they will know in time, they are just too young for that now. Just be as honest as you can without laying blame for now. Don't say bad things about him. I always speak nicely, kindly and positively about their daddy. We pray for him. I have told them it will stay this way, we will not be living together again, but I am nice to him in front of them as hard as it is! If you need more time to wrap your head around it, give it a bit more time...better to go in a little emotionally prepared. ((((((hugs to you and your babies)))))
Tell them and love them thru it.
