Infidelity Support Group
Any relationship in which one partner engages willfully in sexual relations with another outside of the partnership is considered to have experienced infidelity. This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...
For me, it is excercise.... it gets my mind to slow down in a comfortable environment and burns away a lot of what you speak of.
Yoga is also a great option.... also helps me sleep as i am able to be more focussed.
Tge bibonus of course is that i look and feel better.... good for the ego when it needs a boost.
Ive daid it before here but I had my share of mornings breaking down in the middle of a workout but i chose to own it and ended up meeting some great people who noticed and were concerned. Try it!
I have had a real struggle with sleeping since learning about my husband's affair last Easter. I frankly do not know how I have made it through work everyday. I haven't been much of a drinker over the years, was big on walking, have maintained a lean body for years, and have had a positive outlook. My husband's affair has created a ton of anxiety. I have gained 25 lbs. drank a margarita everyday after work and went on anti-depressants. I also stopped walking because I didn't have energy because of not getting any sleep.
The good news is that we have an awesome therapist, my husband is working hard, I am now off of the anti-depressants, and have cut the margarita consumption to 3 times per week. I am beginning to walk again, and am looking forward to working on losing the weight
I am still anxious quite a bit, and there is unfortunately a lot of work still to do towards re-establishing trust. I sometimes feel as if I could have a heart attack, which I am sure is a panic attack.
The thing that I now have an appreciation for the woman that I was prior to the affair. I was always critical of my looks and now I realize that I was pretty good. My next thing is to focus on my health through nutrition and walking. I plan on looking even better than I was before the affair, and perhaps even making my husband a little nervous.
And MHanna - keep it up! :-)
