today was a good start to my day with my honey, but I got to admit, yesterday was a test, we were being close and intimate yesterday, and I smelled a different scent on him....
sigh.....I was in question about what that different scent was, I kept my thoughts to myself, (because I didn't want to start arguing), and went on with our day, but I noticed myself being short with him all day, so I chose to be good to him and say nice things to him.
so.......this morning I woke up, we showered and got ready, and then he said, "babe, smell this it smells good, I like the smell of it," I smelled it and it was an old spice scent I had bought a while back and I shared with him my thoughts, about yesterday and how smelling a different smell on him affected me. I felt he needed to know that I pay attention to small things like that now.
He of course got mad, and felt defensive, and after sharing I went up to him and gave him a hug, told him I loved him, and that I was just sharing, not getting mad.
Forgiveness is sure a tough matter in a relationship, but thankfully its a work in progress. I love him, and pray it will all work out....

I think smell is the second one. A lot of people have tons of childhood memories based on smells. I, for one, remember lilac bushes and their sweet aroma, from first grade, playing on the playground, and it looked and smelled so divine! So I planted a lilac bush, right outside of my garage, in honor of my Mom, and it does help me to revisit some good ol nostalgic days. We all need more of the good ol days! lol
And I remember, as a third grader, my friend and I would go to her backyard, and pick fresh ripened tomatoes, and just drool, until we ate them. A week later or so, we got busted, and had to resume normal lunches. But that was a good time, yeah!
