ok so Minnesota has been the political mockery of the country for many years, first it was Gov Jessie Ventura, then it was the two massive election recounts and court battles over the recounts. Now it will be the government shut down because the political sides cannot agree and blame the other person.
As the W and i were discussing it last night about how the shutdown that went into effect this morning will affect the state, and the people here. i told her it is kind of like our relationship. it is the constant blame game, and no give on either side. Just like politics. After her thinking about it for a bit, she slowly looked at me and siaid she agreed.
Maybe this will begin progress forward. I dont hold my breath but hopefully.

If it makes you feel any better we avoided a government shut down in this state by only about 6 hours yesterday. I actually had made plans for today because I was certain I wasn't going to work today. So I ended up having to take a vacation day. BOOO

By the way, don't worry too much about the shutdown. The way I see it, time spent shut down is time not spending money and making ridiculous legislation, lol. And speaking as a Michele Bachmann fan, I like Minnesota ;)
