My emotionally-abusive ex-boyfriend cheated on me while on a European vacation cruise. We were together for about a year. He found a woman on the cruise, and flirted with her the whole two weeks he was gone (confirmation of this from him and a friend).

When he got back, he pushed me out of his apartment, then told me he was getting a house, and I was not to be on the lease, and that I could no longer wear my engagement ring, because it did not have insurance. Before all of this he was very arrogant, condescending, rude, manipulative, moody, unstable, picky, and demanding.

So, he said we can't do this anymore, because I want to date other women. After this, I threw away anything that he ever gave me, and went completely no contact for two years. I have asked our mutual friends to not say anything about him to me, as I try to avoid all triggers.

Recently, a mutual friend told me that after dating a bunch of women, he became the boyfriend to one particular woman for a while, but it was on- again, off- again, love/hate relationship. I do not care. I will go no contact forever. I just want to move on with my life! Actually I am married now, to a man that is faithful and loyal, and treats me with kindness and respect.

The thing is, even though I forgive my ex-boyfriend, I still feel like my wounds from betrayl and abuse have not healed. I do not want him to be happy. He is 37, never been married and no children. He once told me his whole philosophy is, "I do what I want to do." He has called himself a king, and says, he is much more intelligent than the masses. LOL. Any thoughts on this cheater ex, and how I can move on enough to want him to be happy? Really, it is my hope and prayer that everyone find happiness.
