That was the first CD she ever bought me - oh so long ago and I haven't heard the spong in years,
I teared up watching it tonight on that link. amd I am very tempted to email it to her. (not sure exactly why) I guess I am just in a sombre mood at the moment,.

He was awarded the distinction of Australian of the Year at one point - and I think he typifies what most Aussies would like to think of themselves as being an all round good bloke. His interaction with his fans is obvious and genuine.
So different from the BS portrayed as good music now. just a singer/songwriter and his music and millions of adoring aussie fans.

I've not heard the song but like L says, it's very moving.
Sounds like you wanted Robin to know that you were still thinking of her and trying to remind her of the way it was back then.
I have to agree that at least we could understand what the artist was singing about back then and they all appeared to sing from their heart, many full of pure emotion.
