It is scary but also infuriating that your partner risked your life by having unprotected sex with a stranger. Not to mention humiliating. I remember laying there in the gyn office getting tested and examined for std's and feeling so humiliated. They dont think about these things but they never gave us a choice in the matter but risked our lives too!

Mine cheating ex bf was a medical doctor.. try that on for betrayal.. he should have known better.....

I agree- none of the threads discuss it, but I do believe that is something most people keep hush. I haven't seen too many here NOT admit that they weren't tested. It can be and is humiliating.

I was tested. And I HAD an STD. Now, given I had children and was obviously tested for STD's and given that I had been tested about 6 months before getting WITH my ex in the first place for unexplained pelvic pain, AND given that I was clean then; to come to the stark realization that he had given me an STD was unfuckingbelievable.

He, however, claimed that I was the Mother Mary of STD's and that I just "got it". Yup, whatever!

Oh Holy Crap YES! Got tested very fast after DDAy. Knowing the skank he was with? I would have gotten tested like repeatedly if my Doc would have let me...like every damned month!

Getting tested is just smart. Take it from Betrayed - Man, I am sorry to hear that.

Just how humiliated did we all feel having to do this? To have to explain to the doctor who delivered my kids that my stupid EX could not keep it in his pants....I remember the look of pity on the doc's face...Man, I hated being put in that position.

My Dr. was female and I have been tested every year for the last two years. My ex was working overseas and in some areas that I would consider third world countries. I'm clean and considering I found out how much he did cheat I'm very lucky.
