So my ex husband had a female friend that he met at one of his old jobs that I knew he got along with. He told me early on that she was gay so I really didn't think much of it during the past 2 years. He would talk to her off and on during this time. During the last few months of our marriage when he was staying out late and drinking with his buddies, I found out he was seeing her more. (I caught him in a lie one night by seeing some text messages between them even though he told me he went out with his friends.) Anyway, shortly after I moved out and we separated due to his irresponsible and disrespectful behavior at the time. Recently he apologized to me and admitted that he did cheat on me but that it was 2 years ago when we were having problems. I asked him if it was with his friend. He said yes, but that they were just buddies after that. WTH??? So I guess that means she wan't totally gay after all. After we separated he told me he wanted us to start seeing other people and he began seeing her! Am I supposed to believe that after they hooked up they never did anything again until after we separated? So yes, I'm pretty hurt because 1) He cheated on me and lied about it for 2 years! 2) He continued to be secret "best" friends with her without my knowledge.

Of course he regrets it now and hates himself for it. It didn't even work out between them. She ended up going back to her girlfriend/wife. Now he tells me that he's sorry for telling me he wasn't in love with me anymore and that he will always love me. He feels that I didn't really give him a chance before filing for divorce. WTH? Really? We went to marriage counseling (for other issues) 6 months before I moved out and he did not change at that time. I do miss him, but how am I supposed to just get over something like this?
