It is hard to know what is best for the children, which should be the primary concern.
It appears that the father isn't much of a father to begin with so being around him less may be a benefit in the long run. He isn't a good role model for your kids to follow or expect out of a spouse in the future.
Money is also a factor. Can he afford to pay enough spousal/child support that your kids do no grow up in poverty?
Is living in the same house as him affecting your ability to heal and be a good mother?
How old are the kids because younger kids may have more difficult dealing with divorce vs a cheating father?
For anyone who has no kids it is a easy decision to leave the cheater. You will need to weigh out all the pros and cons regarding the effect on your kids.
There is no great decision here, just the best one of the options you now have due to your husband's choices.
