You can pm me if you want to talk.
Take care.
Don't be codependent in terms of worrying about the person who betrayed you. He may play the victim to play possum and reduce the guilt and fallout he has earned.
He should be spending his energy helping you heal and you should be owning up to his faults, not feeling sorry for himself.
Thank goodness that alimony and child support exists in this case as if he doesn't repent and keeps blaming circumstances or you HIS decisions.
He is a man with poor character and is weak. It's hard for someone like that to change given he can't even man up and admit his poor decisions.
It is so so important to take care of YOU right now. don't worry about him anymore. If hes anything like my boyfriend than he is extremely ashamed and sick of himself, however not a victum at any point and if he's threatening self-hurt or has dep[ression, he needs to see a dr asap, Don't take care of him any longer, you sent the wrong message. Also This is juts not going to work in the long run, you are building up all ur pain and anger inside you, pain will be transferred if not processed, transferred onto the people you love.
You sound like a wonderfull responsible person and mom. take care of you and your son. don't worry about his job, he didn't worry about that when he cheated, he didn't worry about the effects on you or his son, he didn't for a moment worry about loosing his job and not being able to provide the care for your son while he cheated. I don't say hes a horrible man, he made very poor choices which were only in his own best interest, not in urs and not in your sons interest. This is standard cheater behaviour.
Its good hes working hard to fix things, however right now he needs to support you through ur stages of recovery if you stay together. not the other way around. You cant skip any of the stages its a process we all have to go through.
Take care of you, for your sons sake, he needs his mom being strong and stable, not broken down and depressed because she pushed her selfworth and feelings away.
Also don't be scared of ur moms reaction. she loves you, she will support you, maybe she's mad at first at him, but who cares, you are too. if you decide to continue with him she will support you. don't worry. Its so important to confide in 1 or 2 close people just to talk talk talk.
Get individual counseling for both of you. take time to do something for you, girlsmnight, spaday, shopping with ur sister, anything to make you feel better and start spending time once your son is in bed to talk about what happened and UR feelings, not only his.
Good luck, hugs, we are here to bring some support, we're all in the same boat
your husband cares more about his penis than he does about his sons welfare,
he's proven that
if you stay, your husbands extreme selfishness will manifest itself in other ways, it will suck the life out of you, your son will sense it...NOT good for your son
