What kind of things are those emotional triggers for you all? I find that my Husbands cell phone is a trigger for me, because every bit of infidelity has been discovered by me via his phone. He doesn't use FB or Internet. Picking it up makes my heart race, as I think about what I might find. I hate his phone and all his secrets. He deletes stuff of course, but if pressed, I would go get the text records to see the numbers. He always had it faced own whenever he was at home, naturally so I wouldn't see a text popup inadvertently That's definitely my biggest emotional trigger, but there are other smaller ones.
Anyway, as each year passed, it has improved a great deal.
I still get them, but they don't ruin my day or take over my thinking.
So sorry.....it will get better.
It's a tiny trigger and will forever represent the point that he chose to take me with him to take steps to hide his affair.
I've learned to work through most of my triggers where they are minor in their effects on me but after nearly 3 years, they still exist.
