Why are you planning everything, why are u putting more effort into this than he is?
Is he at all civil to you? Apologetic?
I'm sorry he's being such a dickwad. Hopefully he either gets his head out of his ass and work on rebuilding or you find the strength to walk away. You deserve better.
Your story is sad.
You wrote: "Part of me wants to find someone now who would love me for who I am (I am simple but want to be loved and appreciated) but scared to take that step as not sure who to trust anymore. "
Simply you deserve that. We all deserve that. Life is entirely to short not to be with someone who values you, who brings you up, who wants to be with you and shows you that. We shouldn't have to put GPS systems on people and 'hope they will change'.
Love yourself. Talk to yourself like you would talk to your best friend and make yourself happy. You'll see changes in your life and maybe your friends and family have estranged themselves from you because they can see things for what they are and hate seeing you constantly hurt, so they have removed themselves from that.
There are people out there who will love and appreciate you. He is not one. Isn't it better to be alone even than to live with someone who is so disrespectful to you.
Consider looking for the strength, the resources to let him go and consult an attorney first.....
