I havent posted in awhile. I am a little over 3 months from dday. Do you ever feel everything is going ok and then wonder why. I am still hurt and angry but my cs and I have been doing really good so why am I waiting for the other shoe to drop. He is there for me and listens and we talk more now than every before. He has had no contact but I cant get myself to feel like this is a turning point I am always thinking that if I try to trust again I will get squashed again. Has anyone else experienced this?

I am 18 mos out,rugswept for a year and have been actively working on our M for about 5 mos. I still feel this way some days. I accept it as the "new" normal. We are also doing really great and I don't feel this way all the time so I am hoping to get to the 2-3 yr mark and be more secure.
You have to remember that there wasn't a damn thing to prevent the cheating and there is nothing you can do to keep it from happening again. It is up to the cs to figure out that if there is a prob in the M ..... to take it to their spouse and not to step outside the M. I think it is normal to feel this wy at times. Please don't let it allow these thoughts to consume you. You have a life to live too.

Self preservation is a powerful mindset. He pulled the rug out from under you once. All you MAY be doing is protecting yourself.

I think this is totally normal, myself.
