Today is the one year anniversary of DDay for me, and thankfully things are going very well. I want to encourage everyone that things can and will get better-- If your partner/spouse is truly remorseful and is willing to do whatever it takes to help you heal, it is possible to begin moving past the affair and begin rebuilding your life and your relationship. As strange as it may seem, it is even possible to grow even closer through this trial.
If they are not willing to help heal the relationship (or if you are not) and repairing your relationship is not possible, after a year or so, things should still be better than they were at the point of DDay.

I dont know it from that side, but I can wholeheartedly agree, that as someone who's spouse's infidelity ended our relationship, that I was much better one year after Dday, and even better than that now, which is about 18 months post Dday. Hope all continues to go well for you.
