I just had to share this with you all because I can't believe it my self it is that bizarre...
my father has had some problems with a sore on his foot since January being a diabetic we were terribly concerned about it specially since the wound would heal and then open up again ...
We went to every doctor under the sun, they performed every test the could think of and today 5 moths later he got the final result with a diagnosis which is beyond bizarre which is almost impossible to believe and as usual gives me a nice slap in the face...
he has some weird polypoid granulated tissue which has complicated some blood vessels (sorry I am not good with doctor jargon and Dad was in his car on the way to work when I spoke to him...) the sort of it... they only ever see in in pregnant, yes pregnant women!
WTF, how and why did my dad get a disease that is only ever seen on pregnants (they sent it back for analysis twice just to make sure) and secondly, why couldn't this have happened when I was pregnant and I would have thought it funny rather than the news making me feel even more of a freak... I mean even my dad seems able to be 'pregnant' when I can't

I wonder if the granulated tissue is something I had after I delivered my son. I tore and it wouldn't heal, it kept oozing blood for like weeks. Finally my doc took a good look and told me what this is (I forgot the actual term but it did mention "granulated" somewhere). He put silver nitrite on it, still wouldn't heal. Then on the Internet I read that horses have a lot of this kind of injuries. Pretty much the tissue starts changing from skin to muscle and growing blood vessels. The remedy was to apply pressure bandages. So I put lots of gauze there to create pressure and the tissue healed. Perhaps this is something your dad could try? Again, I am so sorry you're going through this.
