Will ppl's reaction be a disappointment ?

I have heard of and read of women with infertility have their miracle baby and relatives have little to no reaction.  


Curious how to deal with the disappointment I may have if our final embryo makes it and we are obviously going to be beyond excited,  and his family (that has 9 grandkids) probably will not react with much excitement  & They know we've been trying for two years. 


I might have to just get up and leave. And that would be awkward...


I'm mentally preparing because this has to work!!! 2ww starts tomorrow!!!

If your relatives aren't over the moon when they find out you are pregnant with a much-wanted child, they suck. Every grandchild is a blessing, especially the 10th one. If your relatives can't be excited for you then there's a chance they're a bunch of jerks and you shouldn't waste a single thought on how they would react if you got up and left. You could try being honest and say, "Our road to this child has been long and difficult for us. I'm sorry you can't share our joy. When you're ready to be more excited for is, you know how to reach us."

The only thing that should matter is that you and your husband are happy. And if a child is what will make you happy, you shouldn't care at all what anyone else thinks, feels or reacts. Only you know how infertility feels, and your family probably doesn't understand the emotions that you have.

I agree with both above...I waited 8 years to share...it was so exciting and I wondered how they would react. We chose to wait till 12 weeks, just our preference. Then we wrapped 3 boxes inside of eachother - representing 3 months and placed a lime in the last box. When each mother opened the box on Mother's day, they didn't know what to think...they were very confused...which was fun to watch :) We waited a few seconds till they were like what?!?!? And we then said that is the size of your newest grandbaby! :) I think the key is making it fun and memorable, not necessarily for them, but for you! It should be a happy moment and if it ends up being something other then that...screw them. You are responsible for your own happiness :) Baby wishes and big hugs!

I am in the waiting period. We will find out next Friday the 31st. I have to work that night so I'm praying that we have positive news, and this was our last embryo so I'm feeling lost. How can we afford another IVF cycle?! I need this FET to work so we can start our family.
