I've always been the same. I love to read and learn more. For me I've always done what just feels right but won't drive me nuts or up my stress level. For example, acupunture might be great, but it gives me a bad vibe and stress me out. I therefore stoped doing it. Anything in excess is bad so I feel I have to not obssess over everything.
Hope you can find balance.

I'm with Roxy. By all means you can give things a try- if you like them- great. If not, no worries. Just like Roxy, I tried acupuncture as well but didn't like it- some swear by it- but it wasn't for me. I can't stand pineapple, some swear by eating that, there is no way I'd touch the stuff. Do what works for you! Best of luck!

I can totally relate. I'm a super knowledge hungry person and can get kind of obsessed with IF. DH tries to rein me in and remind me to live life sometimes. I also try to remind myself that while IF has sort of taken over my life, I still have so much going for me and have to relax a little :)

I feel ya! I have done (it seems) every trick but all it gave me was anxiety and depression. So I cut out everything, and I just try and live normal now. I normally eat healthy and keep active, so for me there were no drastic things to do on that end. I stopped tracking (I make my husband do it), and I drink wine whenever I want. I had a vodka drink last night too :) I just looked at all the people around me that get pregnant (drunks, druggies, unhealthy people, and smokers) and I realized that obsessing was hurting me more than helping. And if those people could get pregnant, maybe I can relax a little. It's been great! But... it has to be done when you are ready. Althought the time obsessing did hurt, I had to go through it. So maybe when you are ready, you will be able to ignore all the tricks, and it will help you feel more calm.

I do the same thing. Obsess read everything I can get my hands on etc.. I'm also doing acupuncture with herbal teas. I have changed my diet a bit to eat more meat and fat and eggs and I have cut down on wine. Cut down but not cut out. The reason my acupuncturist wants me to drink little to no wine is because its all sugar and it's the sugar that is the problem. She said I can have some but sparingly so I try to sick with that. I think you have to do what's right for you. For instance I read this book on infertility and the doctors who wrote it suggested giving up all exceecise except for one 30minute walk a day for 3 months. I just can't do that. I live for my soccer time and I walk my dogs a whole lot more than one 30minute strole. I knew it would drive me insane to stop exercising. Just figure out what is right for you.

oh my goodness i relate to this as well. Eventually you'll read so much info that they start contradicting themselves...this article says to cut down red meat, this other article says to eat more of it...type of thing. I started out by not having ANYTHING to drink, to only drinking when I had AF and wasn't on meds, to allowing myself a few glasses of wine up until transfer. Most of it really is subjective, and eventually it's just what makes you feel comfortable. The main reason I followed most of the "rules" was only so when I got my BFN I didn't look back and go "man! It didn't work because I did(n't) do THIS!" Good luck and try to not go crazy!

I think we can all relate to this. Conceiving is so hard for all of us that we will do anything to improve our chances. But after 3 years of treatments and no light at the end of the tunnel yet, I do have to say, DO NOT drive yourself crazy. If you want a beer/wine with dinner, DO it. If you want a fancy coffee drink, have one! If you miss a few days of your herbs, don't beat yourself up! And like Roxy said, if you do not like something you try or it makes you feel worse, than don't do it. We still have to live our lives.

I know exactly what you mean. I will get on the internet, and read a bunch of stuff...then tell my DH, we gotta do this, this, and that, etc..., no more tighty whities, etc...lol.
I also agree it's about finding a balance. Finding what works for you. I'm starting my second 2ww tomorrow, and I will worry about every little thing I do, I think that's just normal for all of us.
