There are definitely people who understand here- glad you found us and are reaching out. Dealing with infertility can be so incredibly lonely and isolating. And people who have not had difficulty conceiving just do not get it. Even though most of the time they are trying to be supportive, it just comes out all wrong and can cause more damage than help. We just have to do the best we can to deal and cope with our emotions in the fertile world around us. I completely understand the fear of going to the dr for answers, but then I realized that I was even more afraid of feeling regret for not doing everything in my power to try for the family I so desperately wanted. The frustrating reality is that our time to make it happen is so limited and we have to act before it's too late. I'm sure that you are very aware of that fact and I bring it up not to scare you, but to encourage you to search for answers. Knowledge is power and you might be surprised how once you start gathering information, you will feel more positive because you are actively doing something to try to help your situation to get to your desired goal of a child. I hear you, I'm in the same boat. All the females in my family have no problems getting pregnant and I've been trying for also 4.5 years as well. I have heard of testimonies from friend who have been trying longer than us, they kept praying and just enjoying life, and then they got pregnant, there is hope! I'm praying constantly and just enjoying life, feel free to reach out, your not alone::)

I can totally relate to you. My husband and I were ttc for about 1.5 years and recently found out that he is infertile due to cancer he had as an infant. Over the course of us ttc and going to a fertility doctor, my 2 sisters each had their second babies, and my 2 very best friends got pregnant and in July had their babies. We found out on in July 5th that my husband was infertile and the day after that, one of my best friends had her baby. Who, by the way, wasn't even trying to have a baby. It happened on accident...and my other best friend started trying with her boyfriend even though he didnt want a baby. She just stopped taking her birth control. Now here i am, kidless, surrounded by babies and I have to hear about these babies everyday. I totally feel for you and i am here if you want to talk. Hugs to you

Thank you all for the encouraging words. Yesterday I took a major step by getting in touch with a dr to see what's going on. I generally try to "be brave" for everyone by not sharing about this struggle, because I don't want to be "that friend", but sometimes I need to be. Thank you for reading & reaching out to me.

Glad to hear you are taking your first steps! There will probably be a lot of information initially, but try not to get too overwhelmed and just take as much in as you can- easier said than done, I know... Don't be scared to ask questions, even if they seem silly- if your Dr. makes you feel dumb for asking them, he/she probably isn't the Dr. for you. I worked with my Dr. for over a year and she never once made me feel like I was bothersome for asking the same questions over and over again. Good luck :)

My hubby and I just got back some pretty damning test results and things are looking grim as far as being able to conceive at all. I feel the same way--it seems like everyone but us gets to have children.

OMG... I'm new this site but I read your post and I feel less alone.
I completely understand what you are feeling.
We tried for 2 years.. I did it all from drugs to herbal remedies or Dr after Dr even tried medicine woman rubbing my belly. But sad to say my Dr found cancer in my uterus.. This past Dec I had to have a hysterectomy. I will never be pregnant. I have been very depressed. I have isolated myself from family and friends because everyone seems to be pregnant right now and I can't be around or see a pregnant woman or a baby without crying....
