I just started using this site again too after the same amount of time :) I had been trying just about two years when I started here, but then I got pregnant, and then had a loss at 9w2d last July - still trying. We took off the two cycles my obgyn recommended plus some, for ourselves. I tracked a few months and then just stopped, I was so sick of the stress and the let down. I feel the same 100% - I will be 23 in October and DH is 26 as of last month. While I am sure we may be young parents still, I wanted to be younger. Not trying to take over your post, just wanted to let you know we have similar thoughts and that you are not alone :) After the follow up from my m/c I didn't see my ob again until last month, I didn't want to bother, I just wanted to ease back into things. We just started not trying, not preventing, in other words I just didn't use opks or temp. I didn't even take an HPT unless I was fairly late.

What about a fresh start appointment w/ your obgyn or RE to get things back on track, figure out where you can turn to next, or what you can try next. You could take it with a grain of salt even, just put all your options on the table first.

Hello! I think that starting again is a process. Having a support system (such as here) is a good beginning. As for the disappointment of possibly not being a young mom I can relate. My "plan" was one at 25 and one at 30. It turned out to be one at 39! There are many benefits to being older. If your body is in good shape that's icing on the cake. I had seven miscarriages (2 with hearbeats) before we were able to conceive. I did research because I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility and wasn't buying that I needed IVF. To keep it short, I was diagnosed with a disorder called Elevated Natural Killer cells (Nka). Pregnancy eight with treatment for the disorder was successful. I will say that taking control of my infertility was the most helpful to healing from the losses but I also did things like donate baby supplies to a local shelter too.

I feel you. We wanted kids right away after we were married but we had waited until we were 26 and 31 to get married only to find out we could not have kids . We did 4 iuis all failed. We became foster parents and had foster kids eventually adopting a little girl as of last year . I thought if we became parents, I could put infertility behind me, I was wrong. So we are rehashing it all over again. I feel like it's here we go again sort of scenario . So no you're not alone . Just make a plan while you're coming back so you can realize what you really want and if you're really ready .
