Hey everyone I’m 25 been ttc for almost 2 years; I have been to a specialist who diagnosed me with unexplained infertility. My doctor is telling me she thinks the next step is IVF. I’m nervous scared and feel completely alone in this situation. I can’t help but be said when all of my friends and people my age are able to conceive with no problem and here I am battling infertility. My husband and I have decided to take a break from the numerous appointments testing and procedures so we can build our strength for whatever is meant to be in the future. I had no idea this journey would be this difficult. I’m turning to a support group for some advice to cope with all of the sadness and disappointment. I hope that everyone can not judge me for my age because all everyone says to me is that I’m too young and “it’s not my time”. Although I can recognize I’m young but I’m 100% all in and all I want is a family with my husband whom I’ve been with for 7 years. If anyone can relate and give me some insight I’d appreciate it.
If you don't mind me asking, what tests have they run on you? Did they do an extensive thyroid panel and have they explored possible endometriosis (asymptomatic if you don't have any symptoms suggesting you have it). I ask because all my labs came back normal and so did my husband's so there is no reason why we shouldn't be getting pregnant which led my doctor to believe I could have asymptomatic endometriosis.
He said a lot of women go undiagnosed because they exhibit no symptoms but one of the most common symptoms of endometriosis is infertility! It might be something to consider if they haven't already done that already.
I think it's a good idea to take a little break. It can be so straining on both you and your marriage so do yourself a favor and go on a short holiday with your hubby, maybe a weekend getaway at a bed and breakfast or something. You both deserve a break and the stress isn't helping either. Sending prayers your way my friend, best of luck and baby dust!
Did your doctor give you an explanation on his/her diagnosis? I would get more tests done before jumping into something like IVF. Have you had a HSG done? That's a test to determine if your tubes are cleared, see the shape of your uterus and if there's good flow through the tubes. Are you seeing a RE? Maybe you could ask to get a D&C/laparascopy done to make sure you don't have endometriosis. I had a D&C/laparascopy done and come to find out I have stage 2 endometriosis and a lot of it. My tubes were blocked and there was no way I could have gotten pregnant. The only symptom I had was infertility. Just a thought.

I have PCOS and endometriosis which makes it harder for me to get pregnant. Every one tells me I’m young i have plenty of time and it gets on my last nerve.
I’m 27 and have done 4 IUIs with femara, prednisone, and the trigger shot. All were negative. We just moved onto IUI with chlomid, prednisone, daily injections, and the trigger shot, they want to do it This way a few times before we move onto IVF.
It’s hard, expensive, and so emotionally draining.
Just keep your head up and know that you aren’t alone.
As Whitney said, it is hard, it is expensive, and it is EXTREMELY emotionally draining, but as I am finding out today, we are not alone. Good luck for whatever you decide to do.
