I'm sorry for your heartache, I too understand. I was married at 21 and we tried for 8 years not using anything thinking it would happen when the time was right. Finally went to a specialist and I have PCOS and hubby has low sperm count and mobility. It is so so so hard to watch people you love become pregnant and be happy for them. It is pure torture, because you are truly honestly happy for them, but in that same feeling you are asking why not me and there is a lot of hurt and anger. It's ok, it's natural. Everyone says just wait it will happen. Relax, it will happen...so you try and you wait and wait and wait...my advice is, it has been 9 years...call a specialist and get you and your hubby in for testing. It could be something super simple, or you may need a little more help. I had to have IUI a couple of times, at 30 years old I had my baby boy and I am currently pregnant with a naturally conceived baby (have no idea how that happened after trying to get my first one for 8 years!!!) It is a hard journey and you have to be your own advocate, but I found this website to be the best support, as nobody in my family or my friends understood. Take care and best wishes!!
My husband and I tried for only about two years before we finally saw a specialist. But, every month counts. We were married when I was 34 and finally met with a specialist when I was 36. Our son was born a month before my 38th birthday. We now been trying - with the help of our specialist - for another child for two years. I'm 41 - and not getting any younger! If I had to go back in time, I'd have started investigating with a specialist as early as possible. If you're actively trying, timing your cycles, and you're still not pregnant, it's worth a conversation with a specialist. And if it's an easy "fix" you'll be so thankful you had the conversation.
Best of luck to you!
