Infertility Support Group
In vitro fertilization is one of the most common and utilized ways of treating conception problems. This support group is dedicated to those beginning their journey with IVF and needing support. Join the community and share your experiences, advice, and story with people going through similar challenges starting a family.
#1 Get the blood screen done as soon as possible to avoid delays. Never would I have thought that not ever having chicken pox was a problem. But it delayed our start by 4 months so I could get vaccinated and retested.
#2 Dont trust your nurse to order the right meds. Double check your order, the meds are non refundable. Our nurse made a $1400 mistake and it took 2 months before I had mysterious leftover meds in my fridge. We fought hard and the clinic eventually paid for meds I didnt need.
#3 Find a couple of friends that have done insulin injections for moral support. Tell them all your fears and they can put your fears to rest. It feels good to hear I believe you can do this from someone thats been there.
#4 Have a backup date your next cycle in mind before you do your egg retrieval. Knowing our plan B eased the blow that I was overstimulated and a fresh transfer was out of the question. It was still disappointing, but I already knew what to focus on next.
#5 Plan a nice treat for yourself at 12 weeks. By then youll either have great and happy news or the need to regroup/refresh for the next try. No matter what you deserve something nice your hard work and dedication to this journey.

My partner is not a talker and hates doctors and hospitals, also my family is on the other side of the world which makes things extra hard! I am even scared of how i will feel if it does work?!?!
Us women are crazy, and i am very scared about the hormones making me even worse grrrr
