I have not started my ivf treatment or any drugs yet. my last cycle was 21 days ago. normally my cycle starts on day 28 so it is a week early. i also did not have any of the symptoms that i normally do before my period starts such as mild cramping and lower back pain. it started yesterday when i noticed wetness and i went to check and i was bleeding not quite heavily but enough to bleed through my new pants. i put on a pad but then the bleeding stopped and now i am just spotting. also the blood seemed quite dark. this is not normal for me as i normally bleed quite heavily and have very severe cramping. i have no cramping and i am just spotting. what does this mean? could i have ruptured an ovarian cyst? i have had an ovarian cyst rupture before and it caused some spotting but i can usually feel when i have a cyst because they are uncomfortable and sometimes painful when i apply pressure of any kind to my lower abdomen. how should i monitor this and could this be a sign that i might be pg or could this be something bad?

Could it be implantation bleeding? I would take an HPT soon just in case. Or maybe call doctor about a cyst.

I agree with LA17, it could be b/c you are pregnant. It has probably been about a week since you ovulated, so the timing would about right. I am praying you are!
It does not sound like a cyst bursting, or at least that is not what happens to me when they do. I think when they do with me it is more of a pussy-blood (sorry if TMI)

YES TAKE A TEST. I HAD A CYST POP ONCE AND BELIEVE ME I WAS IN PAIN .

I think it sounds like implantation! Try to wait a week & then test!

I too have had a cyst burst and it is excruciating!

The last little bit of blood I saw was like this. It began heavy to soil my pants, then once I used a pad it never soiled the pad but everytime I wiped myself I saw spots of blood. I too cramp very badly during menstruation, this time, the cramping was mild and the bleeding just disappeared. No residue or nothing. I think you have implantation blood, honey cakes. [crosses fingers]

Sounds to me like implantation bleeding as well...Take a test...and tell us the results-best of luck to you!

went to doc n fri. they did a pg test and it was a bfn. they examined my cervex with a thing i call a shoe stretcher and i was told that the bleeding was from the top of my cervex. the doc said it was probably part of the uterin lining that let go and my hormones are probably messed up. i am still worried about it though because i am still spotting and it is now sunday and normally my af only last 4 days. the doc said that if this continues i will have to have an ultrasound and my hormone levels tested. i am worried about this as i have never had this happen before. i start my ivf class on wed and i will need to disguss this with my fertility doc. i am worried that there is something wrong and that my ivf will be postponed.

When I bleed like that, it usually means that my progesterone level was way too low and my lining didn't get very thick, which is why no real blood.
