Waiting....Just Wondering

After a couple months I finally talked my husband into doing the test.  Now we are in the waiting period of getting his results. Then it is onto the next adventure after ttc naturally with Metformin, Provera, and Fermera.  Also having surgery to have a cyst removed.



I am just wondering what have you done to keep from getting your hopes up. My husband and I have been ttc for a little over 2 years and still nothing. I am staying strong as much as possible, however when I talk to my friends they have no idea what we are going through.  I keep thinking its going to happen and month after month it never does, and it breaks my heart more and more.  I am to the point of giving up.  I feel like my husband has already given up and is just doing it for me.  



Any advice would be wonderful.

Hi there,
I'm sorry that you are going through this. I have a really hard time staying positive and feeling hopeful honestly. The best way I have found to cope is joining this group. I don't have anyone close to me who even comes close to understanding what this is like. The women in this group are so supportive and it's just different having people who understand what this is actually like. Keep your head up! Hopefully it'll be your time soon!

Hello dear! I know exactly what you're talking about. In our situation this is really hard not to lose hope. Many times I was thinking about giving up. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 8 years. 5 years ago I've got to know that I have PCOS. During this a long time I've tried so many treatments and medications but nothing gave any results. No one understands what I'm going through. Everyone is getting pregnant one after another. All they do is talking about children. I isolated myself from everyone because they just don't get how hard it is for me. Recently I met my old friend. It turned out she also faced infertility. I think it was destiny that we met after a long time. We can talk for hours, not only about our infertility struggles. I feel like she gets what I'm talking about. She understands and she knows exactly how I feel. Also this board helped me a lot. People here are very kind and supportive. I hope you will also feel better. I wish you all the best with your ttc!

Thank you for your kind words. We got his test results back...low sperm count by 5 million and low mobility. Only good news about it the shapes are good!!! I am trying to stay positive that something will work.

It’s a tough journey that we are all on. I also felt really isolated until I found this group. I have some seat friends, but they don’t get it, and I can’t expect them to understand. Yet, everyone had advice or can even make jokes about ways to get pregnant. It’s a painful experience that had led me to have compassion for so many couples struggling with the same problem.
I’m glad you found some answers as to why you maybe weren’t getting pregnant. Sometimes having some reasons for the infertility can lead you down the path of finding solutions. I wish you luck, and I can only encourage you to use this website. It really helped bring me out of some low moments.
