waiting for a cyst to dissolve?

Anyone else been in this situation? I gather that it's somewhat common- especially once you start doing fertility treatments?? It is shrinking, just slowly so I'm in a holding pattern before we can start again. And I'm on the pill which just seems crazy when I'm desperately trying to conceive. Oh the crap we all go through!!

Yes, I've been there! It is sooo frustrating! Right after my first IUI failed, I had a big cyst and had to go on the pill for a while to make it go away. It is rather common, especially if you're doing injectables. I had it after using Follistim for the first time, and I had developed quite a few follicles. My doctor had said to me if I had developed anymore, he would have had to cancel my IUI because of the risk of multiples. But of course, I didn't even get pregnant with one; I just got a cyst instead. Fortunately, that was the first and last time I had that issue. But I hear you, when you're already waiting and waiting, a stupid cyst makes you have to wait even longer! And I hate being on the pill, which is also commonly used prior to IVF cycles. (I was just on it a couple different times recently.) It does serve a purpose in the IF world, but it's annoying because it does the opposite of what we want!

Hope your cyst goes away soon so you can start a new cycle! Hang in there!

I've been there too! It seems so insane to be put on birth control when all I want is a baby. And it obviously just causes delays which is the most frustrating part, but it worked and the cyst went away... Just one more thing to try and stay patient about:)
