I dont think you re making a big deal at all! I would feel the same way. Your response was good and appropriate. I know its hard but try not to les stupid ignorant people upset you.

I think your reactions were totally normal. Those comments were pretty insensitive and thoughtless. I'm so sorry that happened to you. My mother inlaw is very rude and insensitive about our situation we didn't even tell her about this cycle of ivf were doing now. Some ppl really don't understand and don't care to. It makes me so angry.

People who consciously say things to put people down are sad miserable people. They say mean things in order to make themselves feel better. I'm so sorry you had a bad night. After the "snip" comment I would have asked her if that comment was really necessary. You are not making a big deal. People who haven't been in our shoes have NO idea what it's like.

You did better than I would have. I have had comments like that towards me and I have snapped at the person they came from. I have had somehting like that said to me too many times. It hurts! People do not realize that when they say insensitive things like oh "when are you going to be pregnant" makes you want to scream. I actually had snapped back with maybe never because my ovaries do not work but thanks! I got a shocked look from them and I just went into the bathroom and cried. So no you are not making a big deal of this.

yor reaction is totally right and normal.. then our families ask us why we dont want to attend family parties and reunions???? this is why..
Nobody can say something smart to us.. i hate this they always try to say something no matter if they hurt our feelings or not..

You took it much better than I would. I seriously would have started crying and left. I was also at a picnic this weekend and a cousin was there that got preg the same month I did (I miscarried she did not) and it was one of the hardest days ever. I can't imagine seeing her for all of the other holidays. We need to just keep eachother strong because no one else can understand our pain.

That's terrible. I'm sorry you had to endure those awful comments. I understand your pain. My DH's family make very insensitive statements all the time. I don' t like going to their family gathering anymore because I know someone is going to say something about baby to upset me. My DH tries to intervene. Others can be so insensitive to our pains and struggles. They have no idea what we go through..........

His cousin by marriage was TOTALLY insensitive and should NEVER had said that about your husband. You just don't say things like that. If you ever hear her say that again I'd ask for an apology...it is just too rude. I'd put her on the spot and make her feel uncomfortable. It was a very petty thing to say. These fertile people need to start realizing how rude and insensitive they are and we going through IF need to start confronting them on it. I know I'm not going to let anything go anymore...I'm tired of it. You don't deserve to be talked to this way.

I don't think I could have answered as graciously as you did bless your heart! Especially since the individual who said that knew about your current struggle!! WOW! I have had people say almost the exact same thing to me and I dismiss it only because I know they don't have a clue about what we are going through. I HAVE called up a close friend though to tell her gently to please think before she opens her mouth (she is a classic for speaking about my fertility in front of people that don't know my business) Since she broke trust twice she doesn't get any more info out of me. She is not welcome to receive info that is private to me and privilage for her to know. YOu have every right to be seeing a little red over your 4th incident. *HUG I hope things look up for you deary!
P.s Give her a call and let her know how you feel in a nice way maybe your friend of the fam will get a clue then... (lets hope)

Try to stay away from people that make you upset, you do not need any more stress in your life. Next time, get an excuse and stay with your nice friends instead of "family".
People are miserable in their own life and are mean to feel better, IGNORE them and feel good about yourself. As you see here, a lot of GOOD people have ferility issues, it's just an extra step we have to do in order to get pregnant, so what??

Well I would have taken the baby away from her then punshed her in the face. Seriously some people have no tact. You should have asked her if she seriously just said what you think she said and them been like wow "i had no idea you were that ass backwards." But thats just me. Mess with me and you get hurt!!! If I was there I would have punched her for you.

I would have flipped out on her. There was no need to say any of those comments to you or anyone else. That type of comment just comes from a heartless person. She should put herself in your shoes and see how it feels.. Sorry I just do not put up with rude people or their comments.
