Hi, new to this group and saw ur post. 41, newly married and trying to conceive. Had hormone blood test which came back fine. Husbands count and mobility came back fine. This Fri I am going for a tube blockage test and will get the results right then and there. Very regular periods my whole life. Not sure what wrong. Seeking support from this blog.

Are you doing the HSG to check your tubes? Prepare yourself for that one.... It was unpleasant.
ttc2016
Hi thanks for responding. Having a bad day. The HSG did not go well. They could not even get passed my cervix and mentioned about stenosis (narrow cervix). I must have a block and made fertility follow up for Nov 21 to discuss other options. I wish I could see the doc sooner but that's the only time available. Upset. Depressed. They could not even get in to cervix to check with dye in my fallopien tubes. Feeling hopeless. Any info would be helpful with cervix stenosis.

I read online that docs can widen the cervix with tools over a few appointments. I am just hoping that my tubes work and no blocks are there as well or other issues. Worried. Sigh

I don't know a lot about cervix stenosis... But I completely understand the frustration of having to wait so long between tests and doc visits. That is probably the most disheartening part of this entire process.... You get bad news and then have to wait another month for your next cycle to get to the next step. I'm not getting any younger over here... I'm constantly fighting the clock. I know the older I am, the harder it will be to have a baby. If I'm already having this much trouble, I can't keep waiting one more month to try again... And another month to try again....

I feel you! Are you similar to my age?
pleasecanihaveababy
I am 34 so a few years younger...... But I was told when I was 23 that I need to have kids within 5-10 years of I want them. I'm past that dealine already and didn't have any kids. I feel like I'm already on borrrowed time and the longer I wait the less likely I am to be able to have kids.

I think you will be ok. My friend got pregnant at 40 naturally. Hugs

Ok well.... As I'm sure you've figured out by now.... It's not always about age. It's about something being physically wrong with you. My current doctor has already told me there is no way I can get pregnant "naturally". Hence, why I've gone through all the same testing you are going through and why I'm taking fertility medications. Don't blow people off because they aren't as old as you. This is a support group. Be more supportive.

Hi didn't know ur background but thankful you shared it. I am here for you and sorry. Keep your chin up. I know it sucks. Just trying to make u feel better.
ttc2016
Have u tried ivf or iui?
pleasecanihaveababy
I haven't gotten to that point yet... From what you've said I'm only a few months further in this process than you are. But I have an inovulatory disorder. I can't produce any eggs. Basically if they can't get any eggs to produce with Clomid, iui and ivf won't work either.
ttc2016
Can doc increase clomid?
ttc2016
Or switch to a different med? Or prescribe 2 meds?
