So I had my d&c yesterday ...already feeling very down, depressed and sad...but really trying to feel better and be grateful for life, my life And my family!
Well my niece called to tell me she's pregnant AGAIN. Has no job still and on state insurance. Already has a 2 yr old...and has a so called on again off agaim boyfriend who she's been in court with on and off the first year of her daughters life. Ok so whatever right...not important I guess ...but now she's pregnant again...and her due date is 3 days before mine was supposed to be. So yeah I'm pretty upset...not just by the date, but by the fact that I have a stable home, husband, income, and life yet I lost my baby...and now have to do my best to suck it up and be there for my niece who I haven't seen in a year basically. She found out she was prego the same day I found out my babies heartbeat stopped but she didn't want to tell me then cuz she felt bad. But she told me today cuz she felt bad not telling me too.
I feel so empty and so heartbroken ...I don't know how to get past this and heal and I feel like I can't be happy anymore. My husband doesn't completely get it cuz his 2 kids live with us And he feels like those kids should be fine...but its so herd to be a step mom cuz their Mom is a total B to me and makes the kids feel like They don't need to mind me Even tho I take care of them daily and have for at least the last 8 yrs or so.
I know I'm ranting right now I'm just so so sad and feel so empty and really don't know how to get past everything I'm faced with!

Oh my goodnesss sweetie! Why didn't you tell me??? I'm SO sorry! I can totally understand why you woulds feel the way you do about the situation. It is totally unfair, and doesn't make a lick of sense! I'm so sorry she is pregnant now for the 2nd time, when you had to lose your precious baby! It's so unfair. I'm sorry I don't have any words of wisdom, or have anything to say to make it better, but I'm here for you! And I understand the pain of empty arms while having to watch others who maybe shouldn't even be parents get to do so over and over. Life is mean and so unfair! Hang in there, and know that I am here if you need me, day or night.

I am just so very, very sorry for your loss. When you lose a child, it leaves a little hole in your heart that will never be repaired. It is one of the hardest things any of us can experience. So many people just take their successful pregnancies and even their living children for granted. This is one thing people like you and me will never, never do. I remember recently hearing about someone in similar circumstances to your niece getting pregnant. I cried to my husband about it because here we are like you, with a stable marriage, income and home, and yet we just are having so much trouble adding a child to our lives. My husband said something that, as hard as it was to hear, rang true. He said that being a parent is not something that is awarded according to merit. This hit me like a brick. But it also made me make a life decision that I have stuck with to this day. I made the choice to live. I made the choice to embrace the good things in my life, despite the fact that the bad will continue to come my way. Many days it is very very hard. Actually, there can be hard weeks and months. But, I keep my eyes focused on those things that I love in my life. This past weekend, we began planting our garden. As I dug in the dirt, it felt great. Even though I was planting vegetables, herbs and flowers, I was creating new life. And it made me smile. You will experience good times and bad times as you are both coming off this terrible loss and as you continue through life. The smallest things will remind me of our three little angels. But I have chosen to embrace both the wonderful times and the tough times and I continue to keep walking forward. I am just so very, very sorry you have faced this. You have been continually in my thoughts and prayers. I think you are one of the strongest and bravest women alive and I have been blessed by your incredible example. Keep hanging in there. The sun will shine, when you are least expecting it. And have hope. It is okay to embrace hope. I have hope for you! I am sending the biggest virtual hug ever to you.

I'm right where you are about feeling empty. I try every day to drag my butt out of bed and face the day. What is hard for me is that my husband can just move on with ease, he said he was disappointed but that it wasn't meant to be so he thinks it's good that it happened because that baby wasn't "right". I get all that but I am still in a fog. And I don't care how many children are in your life step or otherwise, that loss is crushing. I feel like we tired so hard to get there and got kicked back to square one. Now I am nervous to try again, I know my husband will only try but for so long before he says enough is enough. I say, rant all you want because I firmly believe that in some small way it helps to get it out of our heads in in to the universe. Plus, there are so many amazing ladies on here that have said some of the most meaningful things....may not have made it all disappear but it sure as heck got me through the day....one day at a time...that's all I can do right now. Praying for you to heal quickly, emotionally, mentally and physically!!
