Having testing done with a specialist gave me the peace of mind of this is what is wrong and this is the path that may help. It may be determined that something really simple is wrong. Or it may give you more insight as to if adoption would be your path. You will at least know a little better if its something that can happen more easily or not.
I agree with LMWT, you could start by charting your cycle and trying an ovulation test which you can get at the drug store.
Best of luck to you!
LMWT-I do track my cycles I chart when they start and end. I have for the past 2-3 month taken ovulation tests around the time I ovulate. I had an OB appointment for my yearly and found I was ovulating that day (from what she could tell with my exame, and my test when I got home) and found I do ovulate early between day 10-11. I have thought since it has been so long maybe testing isn't a bad idea just need to speak to my husband and see where he stands and what the cost would be since my husband just began another job. All the tips give me something to think about!
