So, my surgery for laparoscopy is scheduled to have my left tube out and they are going to check on the right tube. I am currently starting the process through my insurance for IVF and am feeling a bit nervous for my surgery. I only consented to have the left tube out, hoping that there is a chance that my right one will be okay! Although, at my last ultrasound, the doctor said he "thought he saw" fluid, but was not sure. I am just praying my surgery (in two weeks) goes well:) and I can start my journey of IVF!
Has your doc talked to you about decreased chance of success with IVF if you have fluid in the intact tube? Is he/she recommending that you have the right one removed, too? I really struggled with that choice. It's hard to consciously choose to basically tie your own tubes and necessitate IVF, but I had decided that if the dye didn't move through the right tube, or if it appeared to be damaged, to get rid of that one, too.
I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. I found myself pretty emotional and feeling "broken" after the surgery. But know that you have support here! We've got your back! :)
