Ok-- SO i heard that your temp goes up when you are ovulating and stays up if you are pregnant. Well I usually run a temp in the hi 96 or low 97. I have been taking my temp at random (i know not the best way) and it has stayed at least above 98. It has fluncuated between 98.8 and 98.3. SO what does that mean? If it dropps past 98.0 is that bad. I have tried to read up on it but it is so confusing. ANy of you wonderfull ladies have a easier way to explain it to me?

Not stupid!! Charting is difficult. You can't guess prenancy after the temperature increase until 18days of high temps. But you really need to be taking it as you are getting up in the morning at the same time each day.

I wish I had an answer for you as well. Maybe do a little internet research? I hope it stays up a LONG time if that means pregancy. Good luck!

When I was temping, my temp always stayed above 98 degrees until the day I started my period, then it would drop down to around baseline. If you are taking progestrone, that can cause your temp to stay elavated. Good luck.

My favorite book (I know you mentioned you have read up on this a lot) is Taking Charge of your Fertility by Toni Weschler. She talks a lot about "healthy variations" within charting and I like her explanations.

If 98 is high for you then you may have already ovulated but it's hard to know without the whole picture. Good luck.
