I have on LONGTIME friend who has 2 kids, hubby had vasectomy, then had it reversed. She FREAKED OUT when she wasn't pregnant after 3 months of trying for #3. Well she was actually pregnant, just didn't know it yet, so freak out was for nothing. But she had the nerve to tell me that after hubby and I tried for 6 months for #1, that we should be patient and it would come in God's timing. Then after hubby and were trying for 9 months, she announces she's "late" and she ended up having #4 just a week or two before hubby and had a D&C for our #1. Thing that pisses me off here is she's a couple years older than me, she should have raisins in her ovaries.
Then on Mon my longtime, even closer friend, the only friend that knew we were pregnant/miscarried, calls me up and tells me she's pregnant, also with #1. She was trying to hide how far along she was but I got it out of her. She could have very well conceived the same week we found out there was no heartbeat. She's basically 5 months along and is now just telling, and she had to tell me that it only took one try and that the prenatal bills really suck (she can go suck it cuz I have bills from a D&C), I could care less about her prenatal bills. And it gets better, she's due on MY husbands bday and the way she started this whole convo, was telling she has "news" to tell me, did I want to guess???? (I won't grace you with the expletives that I would like to come out of my mouth). And after she asks me if I want to guess (which I said no), she proceeds to tell me that since she knew what we had gone through and was scared it could happen to her, she chose not to tell anyone about it till she was past the halfway mark. So for months now I've been confiding in her and sharing my pain with her and she uses that to protect herself. And she has the nerve to call me her best friend. Now I know where the saying came from "with friends like this, who needs enemies".
I REALLY hope I didn't steal your thunder, that was not my intention, but I want you to know that there are many of us that understand. We understand it all too well.
Nelly- I so agree! I still sometimes think- ok, if we start a cycle this month, the baby would be born right around Thanksgiving or Christmas, or whatever.... And then I stop myself. Like, really? Does it ever matter at this point!?
@Poly .. I understand the need to vent all too well :)
I have been trying for six years and sometimes it isnt easy dealing with these "perfectly planned pregnancies"" lol
