Sex and Progesterone Pesseries

Hey I have been told today during my FET I will have to use progesterone pesseries 3 times a day for 3 weeks, that sounds like an awful lot!

What are these like? are they messy, and can I have sex while using them??

yes they can be a little messy and you can have sex if you don't mind a little extra mess. Hopefully they are the tablet like ones and not the oil ones that have to be refrigerated. The oil ones are a terrible mess. I prefer the PIO shot because it is just once a day and it is done. I'm not good at taking meds 2 and 3 times a day.

I have been on both the gel and the tablets. The tablets are 3x a day. It will be messy. Wear a liner at all times, and for me I felt like I was wet and itchy all day long. It also discharges some, which is ok, both naturally and during sex, and it looks like cottage cheese. Sorry to gross you out lol

I'm with pincushion- I'd take the shot over that. Our protocols for FET must be different- if I get pregnant- I'm on progesterone through the entire first trimester. I have tried the suppositories before and it irritated my skin after the first week. So- I have elected to do the shots again- lesser of two evils for me...

Its messy and goopy. Especially in the morning after laying down for 8 hours....you can have sex while using them, but be warned, it will not be pretty down there! Ever watch Friends? The episode when Ross wore leather pants and Joey told him to wet down his legs and he then added baby powder and it turned into a paste? You get the the idea....

hahah, oh dear!! Oh well he'll have to like it or lump it!!
A while to go til then though, My RE didn't offer me the shot option though, not sure why, when she 3 pesseries a day I thought it sounded like a nightmare. She may end up putting me on them longer too I guess?
