Hi everyone. I'm 27 years old. I was diagnosed with PCOS at age 21 when my husband and I first tried getting pregnant. We've tried clomid a few times, letrozole, The shot. We got pregnant after we stopped trying to get help from doctors, but it ended in a early miscarriage. Now my doctor wants us to try ivf. I'm scared and so is my husband. At this point, I think we're both just afraid to have another miscarriage but also not too sure that it'll work because of how much we have been disappointed before. Idk what else to do. I'm so tired and afraid that I haven't even called my doctor back to follow up on the ivf conversation.
Seems I always tried to wait for the right time which I thought was yrs ago. But for some reason then when I was ready to have a baby, my body said otherwise! Apps were just making me frustrated!! And peeing on stick after stick after stick to see if I was ovulating just to pee on more sticks to see that it was negative and not pregnant that month!!
Me - 42. endometriosis & PCOS and all the possible things. ttc since 11/2014. 1st IUI with just trigger — BFN. 2nd IUI with clomid no trigger – same result. IVF#1: retrieved 7 mature, 6 fertilzed. Fresh cycle- transfer 1 grade B embryo/ hatched. On progesterone/ estradiol. Miscarried. IVF#2-IVF#4 – similar results. All miscarriages. All bfps on dollar store cheapie which never developed into a healthy pregnancy.
Each time beta rising then extremelly falling down. We both couldn’t endure more, so moved forward to surrogacy..
See, I've never meant to sound discouraging. This struggle is all demanding, it might consume all your efforts. Still we all know what we're doing all this for.
I'm praying you get more hope and strength and do decide on proceeding with ivf.
