Sadly I found out I'm not ovulating

My OB/GYN wanted me to take a 3 month break from Femara so I did, I've been taking Metformin & luckly the Metformin kept my periods coming during those 3 months that I was off of Femara. Last month was the first time back on the Femara & my doctor wanted me to have my progesterone levels checked, & the blood work came back saying that I wasn't ovulating. My numbers were at 6.9 & I guess they're suppose to be at 10 & above, that upset me to realize that I haven't been ovulating like I thought I was. So my doctor is trying me on different doses to see which dose is the right one to make me start ovulating again, I really hope & pray that all it will take is her putting me on the right dose of Femara for my body to cooperate & get back on track again. My body probably has to get used to being back on Femara again after taking a 3 month break from it. Every woman's body works differently so I will probably get several different stories, but I'm just curious how many different doses did your doctor do until you finally got blood work done saying that you were finally ovulating again? Thanks in advance for all the answers.

i was on clomid for about 7 or 8 months before my body started ovulating. i haven't taken Femara. unfortunately every woman's body is different, that's what stinks. if we were all the same it would be so much easier. im sorry you went that long without knowing. i thought i was ovulating last month (we took a break from ferility treatment), and turns out i wasn't. i feel like im going backwards now from all that progress i was making. hang in there, hopefully getting back on the drug will make you ovulate right away!

I'm just being started on clomid again after I too thought i was ovulating I was sure of it but my blood work to said I wasn't. The last time I was on clomid it only took two cycles. This time around i'm being jumped right to the dose that worked last time. Just waiting on AF to start so I can start them. Keeping my fingers crossed that since were jumping staight to the higher dose it works right away. (I have only ever tried clomid)

Hi SweetPea,
I have been on clomid and femara and femara never worked to get me ovulating. I wouldn't let them put you through too many cycles on femara if it's not working. Maybe a different medication will help.

I'm having a hard time too. According to my blood work last month I did not ovulate, but I had a period on my own this month, so obvioulsy I had to of ovulated. Now, this month I got my blood drawn 5 days before I was suposed to and it shows I have ovulated. I would question the timing of the blood work, that seems to be our problem. Stay strong, don't give up hope!!

Hello! I did several rounds of Clomid to no avail...I'm now on my 2nd round of Femara. Last time I was on 5mg a day, this go around he's upped it to 7.5mg a day...we'll find out in 6 days whether or not this round worked.
