Everybody is different. I took that day and then went back to work the following. But my E/R was fine and I had no pain. Others have a tougher time. Each woman is different. You gotta just listen to your own needs is what I think. Good luck!

i was pretty groggy when i got home so i slept for a few hours but then i was fine. i believe i was back to work the next day.

yes!! this is very hard on your body and you need to be relaxed after the trauma so body has endured to eliminate the stress hormones that can affect impantation. Rest and be good to yourself!

The 1st ER, I stayed home until 3 days after transfer but I had so much pain I went to the emergency room.
My 2nd ER, I was fine and went to work the next day. I did take time off after transfer, although I did not do bed rest, just light rest. I still did stuff like went out to dinner.

My RE's office says you "can" go back to work, but if you can possibly take the day after ER off do. I'm so glad I did because the day of the ER you feel fine (because of all the pain meds) but the next day you feel like you got hit by a bus, there's no way I could've gone back to work. I'm having another ER tomorrow so I'm taking tomorrow and the next day off work. My RE doesn't recommend any rest after transfer other than the 1/2 hour you lay there, and of course taking it easy on exercise & lifting.

I had mine on a Sat and rested Sat and Sun and was back to work Mon. Make sure you rest if you feel you need to! Good luck!

I am taking it easy today. I have done little stuff like do dishes and fold some laundry, but I have pretty much been laying around. I don't feel bad today, but am still a little sore.

I took the next day off of work and took it easy. He didn't say I ~had~ to, but I was a little sore. It's also an emotional day, so if you can, I might suggest just kicking back for a day. Good luck sweetie!

Rest after ER is because they put you under so your body needs to get off the anestesia. I did have some spotting but no pain after my ER. My RE recommends 2 days bedrest after the transfer to help give those embies in good and snug but obviously every RE is a little different! :-)

Thanks for everyone's responses. I still feel cramping on my ovaries so I think I'm going to stay in and rest!! You guys are the best!
