OK so I had my IUI on Tues. the 21st. The doctor said if I don't get my period in 2 weeks to take a HPT test and if positive give him a call for a beta. ANYWAY...I started to think about it...and that means my cycle is expected to be 28 days...and generally my cycle isn't till 30, 32 or 35 days sometimes. So in my opinion I'm technically NOT due till Nov. 6th or even the 7th. Yet he said 2 weeks which would be the 4th! I really don't want to waste a test if that's really not the date my AF comes...and I rather wait for my regular cycle time. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS? I'M SO SCARED TO TAKE A TEST!

I have on and off been feeling symptoms, but AGAIN...I'm on progesterone, AND I know most symptoms are so similar to AF symptoms so to me it's not a "sure tell" way to know that I'm actually pregnant! The only odd thing is that I felt some muscle type of stretching pains in my lower belly this morning, kind of sharp at times. I got scared though because I just had a tubal pregnancy so any ODD type of pain worries me. Does anyone ever get those pains and IS pregnant? Ughhhh...I'm so stressed! So much for trying to stay distracted LOL!!!

Hi Sweetpea,

My RE told me this past cycle that they often base AF on when you have the HCG trigger shot, if AF is going to arrive it is usually 14 days after the shot. My cycle is like yours, 32-35 days and I got AF exactly 14 days after my trigger(by my books it was 5 days early). Not sure if that helps!

My history has shown that with any drugs (clomid, etc) my cycle is a few days shorter. I would text on the 14 day mark as your doc suggested. If the test is negative (or faint positive) then wait until your normal cycle days and test again.

hi my love... I will email you at work outside of this reply...But a quick reponse is you know I had the same issue with cycles. You test on the 14 days from your trigger shot so that would be the 4th. What form of progesterone did he put you on?

As far as the sharp pain, I had that and it was impantation (you can feel it if you are in tune with your body). I will continue to pray for you.

Hello, I also like you, have a 32-34 day cycle. I had my IUI and 14 days after the trigger I started. I think if he told you 14 days then you should test when he said to. Not to bring you down but, I had cramping(mild) on my left side after this IUI and when I went in he said my left ovary had doubled in size. This is the only experience I have had with cramping afterwards. Sorry I am not much help. Good luck and baby dust!!!

I agree with everyone else. You would test on the 14th day mark! Which would be the 4th! Good luck hun!

OMG- I know what you are going through! I had my IUI on Oct 17th and now I am 13 DPO and I was told my my doc to take the test on NOV 3rd. Although tomorrow is 14DPO, the wait is killing me and I keep thinking that I am having symptoms of AF coming, but the thought is always in the back of my mind that its not coming. I've had small pains on and off and I thought for sure a couple of days ago that AF was coming. I am afraid to take the test because I know its going to be Negative but I am still hanging onto the hope that maybe if I don't test that somehow it will work. I know that this isn't much help, but I understand what you are going through. I prefer to stay " in the state of hoping" instead of getting a BFN.

I just wanted to say that I completely understand your worry with any odd pains/cramping! I had a tubal pregancy, and lost the tube, so I am always worred with any cramping on my right side, where my remaining tube is. I think the cramping can mean a lot of things, but we are just super sensitive to it now. But I do hope it is good news for you on the 4th!

As far as testing goes, sometimes I just wait and put it off... I never want to see the ONE line.... and would rather just wait to see if AF comes. I don't know why I am that way.... When I'm on meds my cycles are shorter too, because I OV sooner in my cycle (day 13ish instead of 17-18) so that's why your cycle will be shorter. GOOD LUCK. I am right there with you in all this!!!!! I hope it's our month!

Going through the same as you. Im 12 days DPO and if by tuesday its not there I will test. xxx
